IBENA- Dr. Ali Salehabadi, Governor of Central Bank, yesterday evening on the sidelines of a meeting with producers and members of Tabriz Chamber of Commerce in a conversation, told Fars about the situation in country's foreign exchange market: The current market situation is good and there is no particular problem in this regard.
Regarding impact of recent currency reforms on this market, he clarified: We do not have a challenge in this field with measures taken, and we also assess future of country's foreign exchange market positively. Currently, we are currently being supplied ICE (Iran Currency Exchange) and NIMA market, and even our supply is more than demand, and we have no problem in this regard, Governor of Central Bank noted.
Saleh Abadi also emphasized that implementation of plan of popularization and distribution of subsidies was inevitable, saying explaining this important measure of government and countering smuggling of commodities is necessary for the people.
Finally, referring to necessity of providing capital to production units and properly directing bank credits to manufacturing sector, he added: serious support of banking network for export –oriented production and private sector is on the agenda.
